I think I broke my coworker today. We were chatting about food... started off with hamburgers with a fried egg, then onto soft-boiled eggs in ramen and I told him I make my own.

He asked how, so I told him it starts with a bone broth. He was confused, so I described it, then compared it to Jello. He was horrified to learn where gelatin comes from. And glue.

And then another colleague mentioned hot dogs and he looked them up. Poor guy was stricken.

Once you start digging into that then one may end up eating like a rabbit !!! So no thanks... I'll stay the course until the last steak has been grilled.... ???????

I warned him not to look... nothing good ever comes from knowing how sausage is made.

I lived in France for a while..sometimes it's better not to know...allow the taste to inform you as to whether it is good or not...as long as it does not involve any cruelty..and is not poisonous or unhealthy...then go for it.. ha ha..that sounds like something a travel foody would say..sorry..

Haha. Yeah people can be quite thin skinned about these things when you are used to thinking “everything comes in packets from the supermarket”.

Funny, yet also sad and in a small way yet another example why so many people in the US are unhealthy. It all starts with what one eats, and too few people understand good nutrition.
