So, in your city today, how many crimes committed by IMMIGRANTS today, given the Republican fact that immigrant crime rates are skyrocketing through the rooftops of the mighty US?

Well, today is a month 14 members of the Trinitarios gang -all Latinos- killed with machetes a 15 y/o kid. Gee, it was a case of mistaken identity. Fortunately, all involved have been arrested.

Crime will go up in the US and everywhere els if the Governments keep on cutting wages/health care and other services. Unfortunately people will have to resort to crime as a necessity .

A Question: what would you do first, commit a crime to solve the problem or get your self to the office of a congressman and have a sit in. If you are there long enough they have to feed you otherwise it changes into a hunger strike which gets more press? One is legal the other is not. Besides they do not wanting you to relieve yourself in the office.

@dalefvictor That is easy to say and I think is a good strategy, however do you honestly think that the congressman/woman would let you sit there peacefully yet alone relieve yourself there? Look what is happening in the US now. For instance teachers have not had a decent pay rise for years, they have to have second jobs just to survive, and that are only teachers that I am talking about. If you were in that congressmans/womens office you would find yourself being escorted out by the security and/or put into jail quick smart and if you were black probably dead.

@Jolanta Back in the late 1980's there was a large country wide protests against investing in South Africa. During that time about 200 of us would protest aground the Federal Building in downtown portland. There was a vote to take place in the Senate and it was decided that we would go to the office of Senator Packwood. All 250 walked into the building, walked into the office and stated we wanted Senator Packwood to vote a certain way. A building police man walked into the office and stated that we all had to leave he was in control. 250 people sat down, I remember saying "holy shit" the officer left the room to get some help. About fifteen minutes later am FBI agent walked into the room, introduced himself, apologised for the policeman's comment. He said we could all stay as long as we wanted in the office, as long as personnel were present. He asked that when the last person left that we all move into the hallway at the entrance to the office. He then left. They do not want protestors present but local law takes place to control protesting. I know in many places the police seem to work not for the residents of the area, but here in Oregon I have not had a bad experience with a policeman. I always treat them as I would anyone else, I also know they can have problems. I had a friend who's husband was a policeman, he was shot and killed three years ago. Life can hit you in the face. When protesting one has to know what they are doing and they have to know what others are going to be doing. I have always been able to talk to the police and ask what they are there to do, as long as you are honest and wish them no harm all is good. As soon as someone gets violent the whole world changes.

@Jolanta if you are there by yourself then there is no support and you will be shown the door. With more, which would happen if the issue is important, the situation changes. They are not going to want you there but calling the police while you call the local tv and newspapers becomes another matter. You have a right to be there, they can be sued and they have been made to pay. Also the teachers have been given raises and have had some of their other needs met. One has to remember that one gets what one votes for.

Crime will go up / down for many reasons...and it will be committed by legal /illegal immigrants as well as by citizens.
What many are trying to say is we must make sure we don't import more criminals....and trust me, some of the people seeking asylum have records in their countries as well as here (many have been deported in the past...more than once).

@dalefvictor I think there have been changes since the 1980s. Seems to me like the police are way more aggressive and are happy to shoot people. But yes you are right if enough of people protested things would change, unfortunately people are afraid by all the intimidation. They are afraid of loosing their jobs and their lives.

@Jolanta What happens when our jobs exist no longer or we are not paid enough to pay our bills and we loose everything? I am really worries about what is going to happen in this country in the future. If we do not get rid of trump and lessen the effects of his supporters we are in for a bad bad time. Have you read "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich"

@dalefvictor That is what has been and is happening in the US now for a long time. People have two jobs just to survive and I think that it will be worse if people don't wake up to themselves. Unfortunately bot Republicans and Democrats work for wall street. No I have not red it but I have red "Animal Farm" by George Orwell.

Crimes are so high I cannot count them, I think that is because I have not heard of any increase locally. Nation wide I have heard that there is a great commotion of crime happening in Washington, D.C. Apparently there is this guy who is selling the U.S. to Russia so he does not have to go to jail for doing such. I think he is talking about himself. I know he does not lie.

hahaha...I like this one.

No crimes by immigrants here. Republican "facts" are not required to be factual.
