In Canada assisted dying is legal for those who are terminally ill but the laws have many restrictions; don't go far enough. Dying with Dignity is a group that works towards changing that: [dyingwithdignity.ca]

Absolutely. Unless I have a stroke, heart attack or accident, I plan to end my life when I'm ready to be finished. I haven't put my wishes for treatment into an official document yet but my family has been clearly informed about my wishes and plans.

Absolutely. I think we should all have the right to choose a dignified end whenever we have had enough.

Yes. If the suffering far outweighed the enjoyment of life, I would. I think the moral imperative comes from the idea of rejecting as not good what God has pronounced good - that is, life. I'm not sure how our ancient cave-dwellers thought about it. They needed on hands on deck to get things done but if you were more a liability than a help....
