Just to make it clear... I am not at war with science... neither with religious, church or god... any of them. I do not like worship in any shape or form. I want to express my apologies if I came accross as a hater of science. I am a hater of worship period. I will worship no man... I will make exception for the right woman, mind you. I am very grateful for all of those pioneers that had made my life and my inspiration buds so happy developing software and hardware I can use on my lifetime hobby of music. To you guys... I salute you. Otherwise my music will still be bouncing on my head or crashing in a pile of notes. In the military I loved my job and always will... I was a Radioman later developed and turned into Information Technician. I did anything from morse code to control a satelite but nothing I loved more of my Rate than searching for clear frequencies in the High Frequency expectrum to switch to and using the HF tech mantra of going High during the day and Low in the night. Learning to bounce frequencies accross the globe to communicate Long Haul was unique and always going to be grateful for those that made it possible. To us Communicators was an Art not Science. Funny of satelite is it is all good as long it doesn't rain. Now HF you can tune the coupler in the antenna and punch the frequency with a transmitter with more power. The Man Intuition Element on my Rate made it all worthwhile. When your Captain can trust you to find a good workable frequency on bad weather... Bravo Zulu = Kudos. I simply do not worship because I never learned to... never did on church so don't do it on life out of church... don't know how... seems those that worship... can't stop worshiping they just pick a different god... another messiah... another mean of praying. I like that I don't Worship. And that I don't go around about Church did this or god did that or jesus this or bible that. Not Who I Am. The pope do not piss me up daily, mother theresa was not a criminal worst than michael jackson and neither hawkins or tyson are my messiah... Do not care if the the next President of Mejico was a Communist or The New Prime Minister of Espana is a Fellow Atheist. I am not a Militant Atheist at War with Religion. Okay... all that out of the way... I will include you all on my Weekend Prayers starting tomorrow morning at Dawn of course before I go to sleep.

@GipsyOfNewSpain Happy 'covfefe day!' I respect your work as a radioman, as I served in uniform, and worked with satellites. Comms are always our backbone, no matter what band they occupy, and in a post apocalyptic world, shortwave radio operators with solar power collection could rebuild the planet. Peace.
@pnfullifidian Thank You for your service and sacrifice... loved my line of work... we were the keepers of the secrets. We knew Everything before anybody else. I told a lie one night after eve watch went to sleep and in the morning everybody was talking about my lie... shit was that it became the truth. We were suppose to go to Amsterdam... just 2 days away when Amsterdam was the Sex Capital of Europe if not the World. And I said "we ain't going something happened in Lebanon and our presence is needed". Well that night while running around the Norway Fjords we encountered a Winter Storm that disabled portions of our LST needing repairs... so instead of Amsterdam... it was Portsmouth UK... not the same thing!!! The captain CDR Howick gave me a lecture of the importance of my Rate and gave me a book... "Assault on the Liberty", a Naval Vessel attacked by Israeli forces on the 60's, killing over 30 sailors and of the coverup bullshit and lies that came after. Including separating all crew members that survived never to be station together in same area again. Love my line of work. I can still copy morse code.
Nice rant, but can't hold a candle to radio chatter

@GipsyOfNewSpain LOLZ. I was a CTI, sat beside some R-branchers and learned some of the more common codes. We had to know some of your codes for our advancement exams, but no, I was never proficient and had to google your Q & Z signals. Thank you for your service.
@chalupacabre Enough said... I spent 4 years in a CT base... NSGA Sabana Seca PR. My house in the base had a sign... "RM World in CT Land". All branches including the R-branches "glorified RMs". My command was Naval Radio Receiving Facility NRRF inside a 360 degree antenna array. Ricans called it The Radar. 12 minutes from were I grew up. Thank You for your Service and Sacrifice.
