Oh yesssss ... indeed. Sad? You bet. Is it true? Probably. I know the facts presented are sound and only the projections are in question. Not doubt, but not necessarily inevitable. However, inevitable is the more likely. Though I don't particularly agree with Hedges on all levels, he makes valid and powerful points that demand to be considered rationally.

Bear in mind that this man is a Presbyterian minister and as a result will make biblical references. It is a part of who he is. On a more important level, he is an astute human being who is not afraid to speak his mind. What he has to say here is important for all of us anywhere in the world.

The truth is not an easy pill to swallow. Our politicians have been playing fast and loose for a long time, culminating in trump and the current gop.
Don't count on the dems and be wise when you vote. Demand better.

Trump is almost a reincarnation of Mussolini.

The imperial presidency has been growing in power since Nixon, Obama was a genius at normalizing many of the most horrible aspects of it. Trump is a symptom, not a cause.

Yes, and that was precisely what Hedges was saying through both segments.

@evidentialist Then we're in agreement. 🙂
