I thought I was joining an Agnostic/Atheist group.
It seems that it is 100% pro-Democrat Party group.
I hate Trump as much as anyone here.
I voted for Jill Stein after that Trojan Horse Sanders abandoned us and took our money.
I was a Democrat for nearly 40 years.
Quit getting your "vast knowledge" from Corporate News Media.

It is most definitely NOT a "100% pro-Democrat Party group".
I WAS a republican when I was first eligible to vote.
Reagan, and the republicans of his time, made me switch to being an Independent. I was an Independent for over 30 years, with absolutely NO
significant change being brought about from Independents, while the GOP only
got WORSE. So what good was achieved by my switching parties?
I've recently rejoined the GOP. I'm tired of just bitching about them and nothing
getting any better.
I'm active in my local party and working for change. It's not easy. Not by any
stretch of the imagination, BUT, it's work worth doing if you actually care.
Complaining about EITHER party doesn't accomplish anything.
Don't like where your party is going? Get in there and WORK for CHANGE.

Finally...someone "gets it".

@KevinAverett Sorry, dude. It's clear you don't "get it", if you're making such pronouncements about the site.
Btw, Clinton was FAR more qualified than anyone else who ran in 2016.
Nothing about what people "believed" about her was EVER PROVED.
Yet, people voted for Jill Stein? Sorry, none of you have any room to talk. Not even a little bit.

@KKGator
Let's get Chris Stephens opinion on her WORTH.

@KevinAverett I don't give two shits about the opinions of Chris Stephens.

@KKGator
Pardon me.
Maybe check Chris STEVENS' opinion of the "butcher of Baghdad".

@KevinAverett Don't care about that Chris Stevens, either. Anyone serving in the government, whether it's diplomatic corps, or otherwise, knows what they're getting into. I do not care that he and others died there. You pays your money, you takes your chances.
What happened in Benghazi is irrelevant. Not to mention, NOTHING
was ever proved there, either. So, big fucking deal about Benghazi.
The republicans wasted MILLIONS of dollars with their bullshit investigations and hearings, grilled her for hours, and never proved she was guilty of anything.
Remember, it's not about what you 'believe', it's only about what you can PROVE. Unfortunately, people are fucking stupid and that's how we got 45.

Couldn’t vote it my state’s primaries as an Independent, so I chose the Dems, though ‘raised’ a republican. Reagan & friends drove me out.. As J.E. Carter won me over. It’s frustrating beyond description how few understand ‘where it happens,’ Not in November - but the last several months, in the primaries. Even Utah here had his chance, he could have run as a Republican for Congress..

Watched an ol’ political friend (well, older than me) do just that in Oregon’s recent primary; she ran as a republican against a Republican. A ‘progressive Independent,’ she lost, but unlike our knowitall OP here - she made the effort! She also paints, and is back at that.. But what she doesn't do is blame others. Keep up your good work, KK ~

@Varn Thanks, Varn.

Huh, that seems a little random what is your central point

I can't stand Trump, either.
I could have NEVER voted for him.
However...regardless, he IS the President.
Nothing will change by slamming the fool in groups.
Impeach him, and we have PENCE?
NO THANK YOU.

@KevinAverett How about stop demeaning the only political party in the USA capable of shutting him, his supreme court nominations and fascist agenda down? Didn’t you see this coming, you all-knowing brainiac..? No, you thought as the rest of us did - that there was no way the majority of Americans wouldn’t vote for HRC ..thus allowing this POS in … all so YOU could sit back and brag how ‘you voted for Stein.’ Right? Well - suck on it, Sucker ~

@Varn
Too little...too late.

@KevinAverett There’s a serious ongoing investigation that not even trump can shut down. It may not remove him, but hopefully, after a solid trouncing this November ..persuade just enough republicans to abandon him. These are desperate times … we’re feeling each other's pain.. Some need to vent, others are attempting to motivate voters to at least take back Congress, if not the Senate this November. It’s ugly, and I’m not in Oregon anymore.. and can barely imagine Utah.. Let’s hang on ~

I'm a political junkie and probably post more political posts than anyone. I trust MSNBC and research my posts.

All Corporate news is owned by the oligarchs.
You see only what they want you to see.

@KevinAverett Who says our source is your source..? NPR, the BBC, Al Jazeera, KBOO, Pacifica … “Corporate”? Yet another frustrated participant attempting to label others ..then expect them to defend themselves against his/ her label? Looks more like an S&M tangent, to me ~

@Varn
I hate Trump.
However, he is the President.
I'm tired of seeing anti-TRUMP posts.
Impeach him and we have PENCE.

Don't Forget Pence Lied to FBI about Mike Flynn-He's Going Down Too

@KevinAverett He should not be the President, he is dangerously mentally ill, the pressure on him should increase, not decrease, we can decide about Pense if & when, the Midterm elections are nearing and all good people need to get off their hands for this one.

It hurts, I know. The nation was duped, though.. Even I voted for Hillary more out of necessity than desire toward the end, it didn’t look good. I’m sorry for us all, but some need to vent … I suppose you have, too 😟

@Varn
No argument on that.
The fact that the Electoral College felt it necessary to put him in office...is a testament to the fact that, there would have been a massive revolt if Clinton had "won".
Our votes AREN'T counted.
Had you paid attention to the primaries, you would know that.
Every time Bernie's numbers exceeded Hillary's, the numbers would flip.
Pull this video up.

@KevinAverett I am a huge Bernie fan since he was my mayor in 1985 in Burlington, VT. Believe he and Joe Biden could run together.

@sassygirl3869
We all know how THAT turned out.
He took our donations right up to July, with PROMISES if a "contested convention".
He won't get another nickle from ME, nor another "vote".
If the votes WERE counted...the GREEN party would have had federal funding in 2020.

@KevinAverett Why did Jill Stein go to Russia and sit at same table with Mike Flynn? Could it be Russia was playing with her FB too?

@sassygirl3869
I can't speak for her.
I DO feel that Hillary would have had us at war with them by now.
If Trump (or anyone) can make them an ally, more power to them.
I'm a disabled American Veteran.
I'm tired of losing our military personnel over bullshit wars...and the desire to "rule the World".

@KevinAverett I can’t jump on Hillary or the Democrats.. Had strategically timed internal RNC, republican candidates, or even Sander’s emails been collected months in advance and released, things may have turned out opposite of what they did. Talk about rigged!

As for the Dems, Sanders was an outsider, not even a Democrat. He played the role many before him have, wind up the youth and socialists in order to ‘move’ the mainstream candidate further left. HRC had been demonized for..ever by industrialist propaganda entities so it was easy for about anyone to find something they didn’t like... She’d practally funded the DNC, so of course it was filled with ‘her people.’ Really, it was typical hardball politics. Sanders, understood, and rightfully became her ally.

Once it became binary, only two real choices, we needed to do what needed done to keep what happened from happening… No go.. This must be the worst damage the former Soviet Union has ever inflicted on our nation. But to the Republicans - the ends apparently justify the means.. The Republican and Russians are our enemies, not the DNC, HRC ..or any other distraction they may toss our way.

Got your signs ready to go up..? I do, gonna begin rotating them soon.. I know, one’s not got that snowball’s chances in midsumer … but the other’s Tim Kaine! I’ll do what I can ~

@Varn
Just google this shit.
They are a SINGLE ENTITY, and have been for years.
Trump...like REAGAN...IS A PUPPET.

But, you like us, don’t you? Seven months in and you haven’t left yet! 🙂

I'm just here for the pretty girls.

@KevinAverett you’re nearly 60 and you’re here for girls?

@Cassiopeia
I'm surely not here for boys or arguing with the politically challenged!
So...brainiac, how literal are we gonna be?

@KevinAverett perhaps you are unaware but grown women don’t generally like being called ‘girls’, it’s patronising. Perhaps you wouldn’t mind being called a boy, but I would guess that the majority of men would not. ?

@Cassiopeia
Okay. Point taken.
Let me rephrase.
I'm only here for the pretty old ladies.

@Cassiopeia
From a male perspective...that doesn't sound quite as appealing.

@KevinAverett what a wit. Well, half a one. Try ‘attractive women’ if you are set on appearance being paramount, or Even just ‘ladies’. However, you might want to lower your sights somewhat; ‘just saying...’

@Cassiopeia
As a caregiver (exclusively) for my parents for nearly 4 years....I don't have time to take "dating" seriously.
No offense intended.

@KevinAverett well, kudos to you for being a caregiver but I truly don’t see the relevance of that to how you refer to women or your attitude to dating. Whatever your views on dating (either in or out of quotes), you should always treat the opposite sex with respect and referring to adult women as girls is simply not respectful.

AGAIN...no offense was intended.

@Cassiopeia
At 59, I could be offended when they ask for ID to buy cigarettes.
I find it a compliment.

...I think there’s a hardcore republican echochamber around here somewhere.. Sounds like you’re primed..

You have to understand that everyone has thier opinion, and not even everyone on here is liberal. Votes are very personal.

If your votes are "personal"....why are we so vocal about our choices?
As long as your votes are NOT counted, you are in the dark.

@KevinAverett what people say in public is sometimes different than what they say at the ballot box. I personally would never vote for Stein, she was an anti-vaxer. I have extremely strong feelings about that.

@Green_eyes
After supporting Bernie, HER platform was most like HIS.
If Trump and Hillary were the best the Republican and Democrat parties had to offer...I'd have voted for Mickey Mouse, instead.

3

Yah, thanks for that Stein vote. Well done.

Both of your precious "lesser of 2 evils" parties are shit.
I won't vote for either.
If the American public would REALIZE that...we could shut the oligarchs down.
Learn to research...
The WORLD is NOT their playground.

1

Trojan Horse Sanders.....wow I havn't heard that one before! Corporate News Media....you mean FOX?

And/or cnn.

4

Your baseless assumptions merit no reply.

Agreed, so apparently we blew it 😕

2

You voted for Jill Stein, the Ralph Nader of 2016. We (and the polar bears, et al) could have had Al Gore, but nooooooooooooooo

7

Gosh, that’s very sweeping. I am British so I could maybe say to you “Quit thinking that everyone here is American” 😉

1

I don't live in the US but am following what is happening there as it affects the rest of the world. It is an honor hear that you voted for Jill. If I could vote there I would vote for her. Keep it up.

Sadly, many US voters have your level of knowledge about our politics.

@Secretguy What do you know about "my level of knowledge", how do you measure it? I can tell you that my level of knowledge in politics is very good, maybe even better than yours, who knows. I see that you say about yourself that you are here for the community. Well I can tell you that Jill is there for the community, unlike Hillary or Donald.

Not all of us are progressive liberal democrats...

and that is a damn shame

@Xena Nah, not at all... diversity is a good thing and I'm all for it. Atheists come in all different shapes, sizes, colors, backgrounds and political persuasions etc.

@SpikeTalon I'm acutely aware of that....I think the vast majority of us ARE progressive liberals. I never met an Atheist republican

@Xena Well, there are quite a few atheist Republicans on this site, and there is even a group for them as well. While my politics do lean heavily to the right, I'm not a Republican though(registered Independent), if you thought I was I fooled ya then. Aside from that, I think the Republican Party would be more favorable if they learn to change a few things like treat everyone equally/support reproductive rights/stop regulating marijuana usage/and perhaps the biggest one get rid of the pervasive religious influence within the party. Us conservative atheists aren't all that bad, we're human too just like you Xena.
