I feel like we are going to come to a collision soon in the US. If the GOP continues to sieze more and more control of the federal government, we will be headed from some serious lawlessness ahead.
I know it's kinda Republicany to talk armed revolt, but at some point, if republican control of the government become so prevalent, entrenched, and obviously corrupt, it's going to be another We The People moment.
Not tomorrow or next week or next year, but I think we are going that direction.
I think that the tipping point would be establishing or using the military at home.
If this occurs, I think the fact we have so many guns around is going to be very bloody, and kinda backfire on them.
I am saying I am for it, but I am concerned.
There could be riots in the streets if Trump is not prosecuted for breaking Emmoluents Clause, collaborating with Russia, money laundering and committing treason. I will be out there in front of White House. POS TRAITOR.
In history there has always come a time when the poor and middle class refuse to take anymore from the wealthy and this results in some type of revolt. Let us hope we have grown mentally enough to be able to avoid another revolt and still be able to bring the rich into an understanding that their practices are divisive.
Lawlessness? You mean like Democrat Maxine Waters telling people to "resist," a word associated with the Berkeley riots that cost over $100k in damage and resulted in multiple injuries, people blocking freeways, and shutting down speakers on college campuses? Not to mention the countless other Democrats who have urged "the resistance."
All The Power To Them. We Have a corrupt POS huckster in Washington who doesn't know WTF he is doing. GET HIM OUT- BLUE WAVE NOVEMBER-IMPEACH THE TRAITOR
No I'm speaking of the Republican Party who seem to be content to let this man rule by Presidential Executive order! Ignoring the constitution and rule of law bypassing the House and Senate to do as he pleases! When a man acts as a dictator he has to be recognized as a dictator and dealt with accordingly. The longer it is put off the more entrenched he becomes. We also need to address what got us into this citation in the first place (the electoral college) and take the necessary steps to resolve this issue for ever so that this never happens again.
@bandit321 I'm a bit more concerned about people threatening freedom of speech, damaging property and being thought police. They are a primary reason why Trump has been such a success.
@repubatheists You just described Trump to a tee think about it, he is constantly attacking the news media, invoking street violence with his words of lack of words, trying to put himself ahead of country. Please in form me of his great successes?
No, I was thinking more like drag them all into the street, shoot them, form a new government. That's what happens in a revolt.
This is not me saying that's what I want, it's merely what I fear will happen if "We The People" have no representation in government.
Rich white men running a country (into the ground) full of immigrants.
Republicans are currently attempting to poison the well politically. They have stalled the appointment of judges until they have a majority, left positions vacant and cried that there needs more appointments for federal judges (now they are in power) which are lifetime positions.
Trump and friends are positioning "Religious Freedom Task Force" officials in order to "help" the courts decide cases in favor of religion.
That's going to be the end of your rights to have birth control paid for my your health plan if you work for any organization affiliated with particular religions. So you won't be able to get your tubes tied if you work for a catholic hospital for example. Or a vasectomy. No matter if you aren't a Catholic.
In my mind they are simply "Political commissar" that are in charge of keeping the judiciary on the GOP's religious track. See Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, China.
Make America Great Again presupposes that we are not great right now, and that really offensive to me!
You mean like the republicans signing a letter to prevent any legislation offered by Obama be rejected on the day he was confirmed. Yes resist programs ,laws regulations that harm the country.
How about your champion trumper who supports nazi's and calls them good people and cost a person's life. You are shallow as is your party when it coms to human rights.
@Marine What is it with anti-Trump people using the term "nazi" to the point of watering it down, as though nazism has no significance.
@repubatheists When people walk thru the streets carrying a nazi flag weilding batons and be called good people by the president what would you call them. Also more than property it cost a life.
What would you call the program to put off the selection of a supreme court justice by the republicans when it should have been done under Obama. What would you call the 213 attempts to scrap Obamacare by the republican congress? What would you call the the immigration crisis of separating children from parents without any way to reunite them. You name a democrartic item and I will be able to give 5 republicans ones.
@Marine The closest people I can compare to original nazis are Palestinian nationalists who are associated with groups like Hezbollah, a terrorist group with a leader who said he wished all Jews would gather in Israel so he didn't have to hunt them down globally. Not to mention Mein Kampf was a best seller in Palestine. This draws question of pro-Palestine groups located all over the United States, as well as Linda Sarsour, the primary leader of Women's March, in regards to "nazis."
