Up and coming neighborhoods, areas to buy if you have kids, areas to buy if you like nightlife, what amenities increase home value, does a pool increase or decrease value, curb appeal.

I have often wondered if having a natural resource like a stream or creek on the property makes it more valuable or less...I have nearly 4 acres with a creek and it seems people with kids shy away from looking at the house..maybe there are other things that would also be of concerns to buyers and sellers? A historic marker, an Indian gravesite, next to a state park, a cliff, etc.

I would always like to know how many people have died in a house, and if its rumored to be haunted, but I'm morbid like that.
