Science has identified a new situation that is climate related. When the humidity is high and the temperature is high the body can become unable to cool itself leading to death. This has been experienced in China Northern plains where their food is grown. With the increase in temperature it is believed that this will become normal within the next 50 years unless we take some action against climate change. The republicans deny any of this and only think of the cost to them to take positive action. They could remedy the problem by forming the businesses to address the situation instead of fighting it because of their oil holdings.

What is new is that there are the areas in these countries where the climate lends itself to these conditions. This has never been known to occur on land before.
@Marine I have had it happen to me here in Connecticut twice in the last 20 years.......?? Connecticut is "land", last I looked
@AnneWimsey ARE you confusing heat stroke with the above? This is completely different in that if it had occured in Ct hundreds of people would have been affected at the same time as occured in the above mentioned countries.
The areas will become almost uninhabitable. What I wondered when reading the article, is if there are already such areas that are naturally occurring.

There is an area in Northern China, Indonesia and I believe Austrailia where this is occuring at this time.
Today’s politicians are not leaders any more. This goes for most countries including USA. They just go with the policies that they know voters will go for, like in their pockets today. Less taxes and higher wages us what the public demand. What real political leaders should be doing is educating their populations on what will be good for the future of this planet and taking measures to prevent any further destruction, but we don’t have that calibre of leaders unfortunately.

We need to start by having educated politicians who are not in politics for the benefits they receive but to serve the needs of the country.
I hate to be a downer and this may be an unpopular opinion but I think it's all over for the human race I think within the next two hundred years our entire civilization is going to be completely decimated

Could very well happen because we are so dumb
As usual the republicans rather place their heads in the sand than recognize that they by their actions are placing the future of the planet in jeopardy. They ignore that this reflects on their off spring as well as everyone else.They will be unable to spend all that money if they are dead does not seem to concern them. How blind can these people be? How do we go about waking these people up to reality?
