Good day everyone! A friendly reminder to those of you living in dry climes, please use caution when engaging in ANY activity that could start a fire, and never hesitate to report a smoke sighting. An alert passenger on a ferry going by the Island spotted smoke and immediately called 911, 10 more calls followed.
Thankfully we were nearby and able to knock it down. Stay safe everyone! A photo from the action.

Half our state is burning (California), the other half burned last year. We Californians are hyper-aware of fire danger. Arson is sometimes, but not always, to blame. Dry, hot conditions are more and more frequent now. Our fire season used to start in September and last 3-4months at one time; now, it's year round. Climate change has likely contributed to this.

Sadly, some of this summer’s fires have been the actions of arsonists! Unbelievable!r

Goodness yes! 2 counties next to me are on fire. Last year our county lost over 40 lives & 5,000 houses....

I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm afraid that vicious fire seasons are becoming the rule, and not the exception every year.
