Any good book recommendation on religion written by secular authors? I read The God Delusion and found it painfully boring.

I really liked The End of Faith by Sam Harris

If you want something funny, The Story of God by Chris Matheson is a great read.

I would recommend,... If You Meet The Buddha On The Road, Kill Him....Sheldon B Kopp. Last printing, 1981

If you are looking for books on religion (not anti-religion) written by people who are not peddling magical thinking, check out Joseph Campbell or Karen Armstrong or Bart Ehrman.
