It only takes common sense to see how crazy certain things are.

Common sense are the operative words here................it's as rare as hens teeth! 😀

Ah, common sense... would that it were more common.

The problem is common sense differs from person to person. It really cannot be defined because of this difference. What is common sense to one isn't the same for the next person.

I believe that much of what appears to be lack of common sense (or intelligence, for that matter), is really a lack of awareness. People, it often seems to me, are so caught up in just trying to survive, or keep their families in tact, that they miss a great deal of what is going on around them, and have no clue about "the big picture."

Maybe a lot of people have no common sense, that is why they don’t realise that things are crazy! I hope that makes sense (just ordinary sense not the common variety) !

Amen to that. So how come we are s lacking in common sense????

Easy, a lack of critical thinking in this country. It needs to be taught in every school in the country but will not because that might get people "thinking" and that's threating for the 1%

@starwatcher-al Was sort of a rhetorical question, but I've been wondering how much critical thinking can be taught. For sure we need to do a better job here in the US, but it seems that people don't necessarily use critical thinking when it comes to belief systems.

I've worked in a science area for many years and, one would think that people with a science background would be more likely to be Atheist or agnostic, but I did not find that to be the case.

@itsmedammit That is sad, I would have thought same as you

@Graham88 logic is alao missing

@Graham88 I wasn't "taught" critical thinking, I just had a wonderful wife who worked on my quite a few years to get my head on straight.
