I had my cataract evaluation appointment today. I'm not a candidate for surgery yet. The not so good part is I may have glaucoma in my right eye. He wants to do another test but my eyes were dilated and the test needs to be on not dilated eyes so I have to go back in a month for another test.

Cataract is a harmful eye disease, that if a person suffering from cataract should go with cataract surgery. But this can prevent by taking some safety measures. One of the most important ways to prevent cataract is by wearing reading glasses. There are many suppliers of wholesale sunglasses like City Sunglass(https://citysunglass.com/product-category/reading-glasses), eBay, etc available on the Internet, that are selling sunglasses in bulk at an affordable cost.

Had both cataracts removed. Did not help me much. I cannot stand light now. Also I regret having had my vision changed from from nearsighted to farsighted. Don't do it. Stay the way you are. They gave me no counseling about changing this. Be sure to ask questions.

See, that's what I was thinking. I'm really nearsighted. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get away from having to wear glasses anyway since my right eye won't focus with the left.

My dad is 75 and recently had cataract surgery in both eyes, he says his sight is amazingly clearer now!

To wait until the patient is "blind" to perform the cataracts' surgery is stupid; I had it done -and I didn't even have cataracts- as part of the procedure I needed to get rid of my eyeglasses. Yes, my vision was so poor that no laser could fix it directly so first my crystalline were replaced and, months later, I underwent the second fase: Laser surgery.

This happened 17 years ago; several months after the procedure I pass the DL test w/o glasses.

GLaucoma means the pressure inside your eyeball is too strong . The current treatment , is a pair of injections directly into your eyeball every six weeks or so . I have yet to figure out how adding more fluid inside your eyeball , reduces the pressure , although , mine is now leaking , and dry . Isn't that weird . I continue to wonder if they truly know what they're doing , or if they've just developed something else strange and ,"medical," that requires repeated procedures they can charge you for , without actually killing the goose that laid the golden egg .
