I don’t appreciate any of them and can’t help but refuse to watch them. Especially Eastwood! Don’t ask me why especially him, maybe it’s because they talk politics because they want to sound intelligent.

I can still appreciate the work while accepting the actor/director is a creep. One exception may be Mel Gibson. I tried watching one of his more recent movies with my sister, but in every scene where he was supposed to be angry, one of us would imitate his drunken anti-Semite rants or his freaked out recordings with that girlfriend.

Once Eastwood made an ass of himself for the Repub convention, he was dead to me.

I'm not sure I see a connection via which I would compare them. Or do you mean current-day Trump-supporting celebs vs yesteryear's conservative celebs?

I guess at the end of the day I find most celebreties' private thoughts to be vapid and uninteresting, then and now ...
