Do you have the same opinion of John Wayne,(white power guy) Clint Eastwood, Chuck Norris, Andy Williams (white power) or any of the Trumpanzee supporters now that you know?
I can still appreciate the work while accepting the actor/director is a creep. One exception may be Mel Gibson. I tried watching one of his more recent movies with my sister, but in every scene where he was supposed to be angry, one of us would imitate his drunken anti-Semite rants or his freaked out recordings with that girlfriend.
I'm not sure I see a connection via which I would compare them. Or do you mean current-day Trump-supporting celebs vs yesteryear's conservative celebs?
I guess at the end of the day I find most celebreties' private thoughts to be vapid and uninteresting, then and now ...
Yep, just because they're famous doesn't mean they're smart.
I like a lot of these guys but John Wayne was too hawkish on war. He was in Vietnam while I was in Germany and his pics came out in Stars and Stripes along with comments about the enemy. He went on patrol there and of course did not have on his toupe. Not long after he made "Green Berets."
I know nothing of the politics of Eastwood, Norris, or Williams. When I look for an action hero or a singer I'm not looking for political beliefs. I cannot refuse to be entertained because I do not agree with them. It's not like we are having parties or bar-b-que together.
