It is interesting how we inherently lie to try and protect others feeling ultimately causing more emotional damage than if the truth were uttered. Why does society act this way? Would it not be a better world if we could just spew the truths?

Sorry you’re going through something right now. Being needlessly harsh versus objectively true is a different thing. Humans are complex and build relationships and trust, moods impact subjective bias too, but living truthfully is more preferred to me, personally.

Would be nice to run across someone as wise as you.

I am over it, in short, I was barking up the wrong tree. Would have to write a novel to explain it.

@azzow2 yeah, people can be quite challenging at times.

@ScientistV Your still the sexiest scientist I know.

@azzow2 well my kind doesn’t get out too much so small sampling pool. Lol

@ScientistV When I was looking for a house a couple of years back I almost went to South Carolina the best friend I have lives there. I actually had looked at houses in North Carolina as well . I love the home body thing btw.

@azzow2 low key introvert, anyhow it really sucks when people let ya down so I hope you bounce back soon— you know how poultry goes though so I’m sure you diversified the egg/basket stockpile. ^_^

@ScientistV Have and only like one chicken at a time in the romance department. And introvert is up my ally. I knew you were sexy all the way around.

@ScientistV Going to give you a tad of info. I have been single over 5 years when I had moved here one of the local girls was kind of hip on me. I waited almost 1 1/2 years to talk to her. I am kind of cautious my kids come first.

@azzow2 as they should, but we can discuss off forum.

I also debate the ethics of lying to be kind. Is it ok to tell someone they look good, when they don’t in your opinion? I usually think “can the person change whatever it is, at this point? If yes, I am more inclined to tell the truth, if they can’t change it,, I lie. Why make them feel bad?

I almost always uncover the truth may be it is my curiosity, I can't say for sure. I prefer bold truth over cowardice lies.

Be careful how you do this spewing! The absolute truth can be very brutal and sometimes it should be tempered, not by lying, but by being tactful and considerate of other’s sensitivities. I do believe there are degrees of lying, and sometimes a “white” lie can be the kinder option,

Sighing holding information can be even more hurtful as well.

@azzow2 It all depends on the context ......nothing is ever absolute in these yes or no questions.
