I wouldn't teach or encourage my kids to say "go fuck himself" to a police officer. At the end of the day, he is the one holding the gun......

As a good friend of mine says, "There is no such thing as a good cop." I think you have to be at least a little bit off to want that kind of authority. And even if you do go into it with the best of intentions, the culture will change you.

It makes me incredibly sad to know that POC suffer much more dramatically at the hands of the police than their white counterparts. And I wish we had better ways of holding them accountable.

Police Athletic League no less. This is supposed to be their community outreach initiative. This is why black and brown people (who aren't naive) don't trust police.
