So I find this pretty interesting. I have always thought it was a bad idea to give an antipsychotic drug to people who are not psychotic. Will be curious to see how this plays out.

Use medication as a way to help you learn the skills you need! I tell the parents of my students this all the time. The meds help you be available for learning the lagging skills!

With 25 years of psychiatric experience, I have always been skeptical of the ways in which psychiatric medications are promoted. During my 4+ years working in the county jail, I was treating the first generation of young men who had been medicated since childhood. The depth of their ignorance about the long term price they would pay for relying on meds to solve all their problems was astounding. As was their entitlement around having every small emotional boo-boo medicated ASAP.
