lots of people are guilty of that but i reckon angry people are more irrational and therefore more likely to come across as stupid calm arguments/discussion are almost always more productive but maybe not as satisfying
Yes, some psychologists say that anger is projected guilt and those afflicted seek to release those negative feelings by striking out at others who they feel are to blame. The healthier thing to do would be to resolve the guilt by "owning" it - taking responsibility for it - rather than blaming others.
I argue with my family a lot and find that once I let them get me spun up, it's all over, and not to my advantage. If I can remain relaxed, it makes all the difference in the world.
Yes, I can see that being true. Some people have very short fuses and always seem to take the wrong meaning out of the mildest remarks.....I often think this is because they lack the ability to understand the nuance of speech and vocabulary.
Sounds like a little paranoia might be involved there, overanalyzing every remark, looking for something to confirm their feeling of persecution.
Pretty much an example of the Dunning-Kruger effect, a cognitive bias where low IQ people lack the meta-cognitive skills for self-evaluation so overestimate their skills.
Big example..the Orange fondling father.
On the other hand, high IQ people often assume that everyone can do what they do, so don't think much of their own talents.
