Making Sense of life is like trying to cuddle up with an angry leopard. It just does not work.

Sometimes it is better to stop trying to understand life and just go about enjoying the fact that you are alive.

Depends on your criteria for making sense. Materialistically, it's a cinch.

That's a pretty good metaphor, if "cuddle up" means to try to make life into something it just simply isn't. On a net basis, I've wasted more life force on that doomed enterprise than I care to think about.

I have always more liked the metaphor of life as an un-manned steamroller. You can jump up and down and scream at it to stop or turn or speed up or slow down all you want and it will just indifferently run you down anyway. Better to jump on and try to make the best of the ride.

Both can tear you up and eat you alive if you make the wrong move, eh?

Similes are like metaphors

That’s exactly what it’s like!
You have to get to know the leopard better than the leopard knows itself.
Takes time.
