YOU GO TO HEAVEN BUT YOUR SON/DAUGHTER GOES TO HELL -
So in this scenario you're a Xian but your kid rejected the faith then you all die in a tragic tennisball explosion. How do you, as a loving parent, spend an eternity in happiness with the knowledge that little Billy or Tammy is roasting in searing agony for all time just beneath your feet?
How do Xians square that circle in their heads? Would it even be possible to be happy under those circumstances? It seems to me they'd be constantly petitioning for the child's release.
I see the conversation going something like this:
"Oh great and mighty Heavenly Father whose greatness is so vast and unequaled throughout the universe that we are as lowly dung beetles in thy presence. We pray that you might reconsider thy perfect judgment and liberate our child from his/her hellish penance that we may more fully frolic together as a family in the golden streets of thy magical kingdom in the sky."
"Mmmmm no."
Repeat every 30-50 years.

I've heard that one too. Which seems like kind of a shitty thing to be okay with.
You assumed too fast. You can't tell your own future to see who you will be. If you were a zombie then your son may have to kill you.
Earthly emotion is somehow stored in our spirit which will return to God after our death. After that point you no long have the same earthly emotion. It's like you still everything about your ex, your affection for her is gone. Your love now goes to your wife instead of your ex.
The Bible says that in Heaver there's no longer marriage and such. Our love goes to brothers and sisters after given a new body which is spiritual.

So your argument is that:
A - You will no longer love or care about your children because god will have reclaimed your "earthly emotions" upon your death
or
B - Like an acrimonious divorce, you will no longer love nor care enough about your children to be concerned about their fate once god has passed judgement against them but you will love all the strangers around you in Heaven
Those are the arguments you see fit to offer as an excuse to dismiss your children's suffering in Hell? How very Xian of you. It's a good thing Hell isn't real so neither you nor your kids wiill ever have to actually face this situation.
I'm just gonna ignore the zombie comparison.
Since God is a total twat, those who chose to follow him, be loyal to him and worship him, holding him forth as an example to live live by must in themselves be the sort of bastards who would tolerate the eternal torture of others in order to be a willing slave to the torturer in return for not being tortured themselves.
