Virtually eveyr religion has one coimmon belief, which is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." I live by that and by the standards of most religions I am more "righteous" than those who claim to believe in religion. You dont' havew to believe in a religion to be a good person.

There are certain aspects of each individual that should be honored by society no matter what your station in life, one of those being freedom from religion as well as freedom of religion. I see no difference between a straight man being forced into a homosexual relationship out of fear or power that an atheist or agnostic being forced to endure endless religious proselytizing. Both are violations of your core being. I wish you all good luck and success in your new life as a "free" man!

Welcome to the freedom of enlightenment.

Then it's time to let go the past free yourself from the shackles of religion.

Prison is a system of profit, with little regard to providing hope for inmates. Inmates are often forced into religious activities because of boredom and the desire for an earlier release. Religion in prison violates our separation between state and church. It is an excuse used for not providing real training and opportunity for those who want to change their lives.

Well...I live in the south...in the buckle of the Bible Belt actually...and that is something all mothers do down here...as long as you live under their roof...you will go to church every Sunday under threat of bodily harm I am afraid

Unfortunately, that's true

That touches on 2 things that concern me. One, that thinking religion is some guarantee of morality. And two, thinking my not sharing their beliefs is some kind of personal attack on their religion.
