Gay tales, stories about being a father of a gay son.

A few weeks after he came out to us he announced he was going to come out in school. I told him don't do that but kids never listen. It actually went very well, a few asshats took to harassing him but most were cool with it. I swung by the library the next day and picked up a book on suicide counceling. He asked what this was about. I explained to him that kids might not talk to their parents or teacher or counceler but they would probably talk to you. Read up and be prepared. He provided a sympathetic ear and some connections to the local gay youth group and an emergency sofa to sleep on. I will never know how much that helped but I suspect it helped a lot.
