Is it just me? I tend to have a small filter when it comes to other people's bull shit. So I tend to call them on it. Not sorry if you are offended by someone saying you are wrong. That's the problem with people today. Everyone has this thing now called the internet and use it to push their opinion and views. And of course not everyone is going to agree. It's human nature. We fight. Everybody's wrong and everybody's right. Dont get angry. Just take a moment to conciter what the other person is saying.
Everything is subject to opinion. Everything. We have people in this day and age saying the Earth is flat, right? Science has been employed to prove, to disprove and to explain physical phenomena. One of the things it proved to the satisfaction of virtually the entire civilized world, is the spherical nature of Earth.
When it comes to man-made constructs; governments, laws, philosophies (whether religious or secular), educational institutions, fraternal organizations, etc., etc., it's all up for grabs, and opinions in those realms essentially hold equal weight in proportion to the power behind them.
If one person disagrees with another, it's simply a matter of one person's outlook and experience conflicting with another person's, scientific principles aside, right? So why get upset and angry about what can be summarized succinctly in the observation, "Opinions are like assholes; everybody has one, and they all stink." I know, I know, I'm full of shit. But hey, so is whoever disagrees with me.?
Someone saying they are offended when you call them on their bs is nothing more than a puling whine of a weak ass who cannot accept accountability for their own actions or are upset you caught them at a game they thought they had mastered.
Those with the most intensive filters are the most deeply educated. Many won't attempt to educate the masses … wondering, where would they start? And, they fear the often angry rebuttal of those less capable of ‘seeing gray.’ ...leaving the internet open to often unlimited abuse..
It's been my experience that those who feel the need to go around telling everyone they're "wrong" are more ideologically motivated than anything else. There's no way of really knowing what's "right" or "wrong..." We live in a universe that expects us to figure it out for ourselves if we're to know anything, and sometimes it takes years, centuries, generations even to know how stable our ideas are.
It’s not telling us you think we are wrong that may give offence, but possibly the way you tell us! We are here to debate different points of view, otherwise it would be a pointless exercise in slapping each other on the back and agreeing with ourselves.
I don't believe in sugar coating
But do you believe in poo poo coating? ?
@Spag84 I am not wanting you to sugar coat anything....who mentioned that! Just don't be goddam rude is what I mean. Surely a polite way to make your point is possible....no ?
