I watch too much TV. Lately I've been trying to make up my mind about "Lodge 49." It's an oddball ensemble comedy with a good cast that centers around a moth eaten fraternal organization called the Order of the Lynx. After the first 2 episodes I'm trying to figure out the direction it's going to take. There's the possibility of real alchemy happening and there's the possibility that it won't. The main character is at a crossroads in his life as the result of his father's death, the loss of the family business, and a weird crippling accident involving snakebite he had on a surfing tour in Central America. He's been out of work for a year and has done some bizarre things. The people who live in his father's house have a restraining order against him. Will he undergo a transformative experience that puts his life on track? He's currently betting everything on the Order of the Lynx.
I'm giving it one more episode because there's some good writing and good acting by people I've never seen before. Has anyone formed an opinion about it?
I'm with you on this one. I started watching it because it was on after "Better Call Saul" and I'm not sure if I'm going to keep watching it either. Knowing me, though, I probably will because it's too easy to keep watching, and it's interesting in its own way.
