Much too little, much too late. I was reading a news article on this, and they talked about how the Church is throwing around the idea of allowing priests to marry. When the subject of female priests came up, the statement was "the door is closed on that." Pfffft.

This has been going on Historically for Centuries along with Murder and Mayhem of every criminal classification. The Cadaver Catholics will dutifully go to Church and sit there while they lie and tell you that its 'fake news' which was invented long before 45 ever tried to claim the tag. Read the Life of Martin Buber and why the Protestant Revolution was such a sweeping conversion. We need a Political Upheaval of a similar kind to separate the Church from Politics. If your cognizant enough you will see that Politicians Play the same game when they get caught lying, stealing and prostituting themselves both sexually and to the Money Men who pay for their electoral expenses.

In my opinion this should be the final nail in this (and any) churches coffin. Their stance on birth control alone is responsible for millions living in poverty dying of starvation and the countless souls who died of aids in countries where pushing their bullshit god story is always more important than helping the people they convert. As a woman I was offended with the cathlics (family of birth were catholic) because of their misogny..and now that is the LEAST of the things I truly loathe about them. Shut them down...

I didn’t read the whole thing. Praying has no tangible benefit. It’s up to him as head of the church to make sure their rules/laws are followed. (Sorry I’ve never been catholic and don’t know the rules/laws/tenets they are supposed to follow.)

This has been going on for many decades. The church just moves the pedophiles to another parish where they can continue their abuse. The church has refused to address the issue (where is the leadership?). Now it has come back to bite them in the arse. Two problems here. First to expect men to be celibate, is that realistic? Second, once the problem was identified, FIX IT. I hope the many victims ban together and sue this corporation out of existence.
