“Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won't adhere to any rules. The most any of us can do is to sign on as its accomplice. Instead of vowing to honor and obey, maybe we should swear to aid and abet. That would mean that security is out of the question. The words "make" and "stay" become inappropriate. My love for you has no strings attached. I love you for free.” - Tom Robbins. There is no book, no magic formula, no set of exercises you do in your living room. Love is a mystery and a bandit.
I have found that we don't choose who we love.
And we certainly choose how we love, don't we?
Me and Love don't get along that "Easily". But we are Best Buddies for Life. And always been the Greatest of Inspirations! So when Love Knocks I Answer!!!!
Chilling and intriguing ..all at once
This odd, odd notion that the great mystery of love can be dictated, controlled, predicted... it is the boldest force we know, and we can only hope to experience its strange and beautiful power.
@skye724 I’d read recently (around here) a ‘chemical description’ of love that seemed to nail it. Talk about chilling.. But even if it’s ingredients were on the side of a can … it’s still as potent a drug on we humans as could be! I’ve begun to view it as a means of procreation ..that can’t be turned off…
It’s definitely been a motivator beyond all things to me. Looking back, it’s guided my life! Maybe that’s why I’m so fearful to seek it… It’s like, without it, I’m in charge. Bored, but in control. With it - oh fuck…
