Ok! Something I've been thinking a lot about lately. What do people think about the Technological Singularity? Do people think it's possible? Is what we're doing now the Singularity? Are Singularitarians scientists or fundamentalists? Thoughts?

I think it's a plausible scenario but there are too many things we don't know to make any definite conclusions. A singularity might be impossible for some hidden reason.
It's only fundamentalism if people wouldn't be willing to change their minds about it.

Yup..in fact alleged NSA agent whistle blowers have been claiming for decades that already happened with one computer system that tried to kill humans so they had to shut it down.
