Have you heard of Zoroastrianism? It's one of the oldest monotheism religions in the world still practiced. Has it's roots in Persian Iran and was the major religion and empire around 500BC.

Yep. That was the first dualist religion. Everything was either evil or good.

I've heard of it , and am aware of it , but that's about it .

I had never heard of it before. It's amazing what people will believe.

@rogueflyer I'd heard there are thoughts that Jesus had studied Zoroastrian religion , and that many of his teachings were based on the older religion .

@Cast1es I can believe it. If so he stole some of the concepts.

@rogueflyer Perhaps he admired their concepts , and taught them to his followers as well . To the very best of my knowledge , his teachings were all verbal , though written down later by his diciples . He was taught in Jewish schools . I don't recall him saying anywhere that he was originating everything he taught .
