When I was about 8 I think. In Sunday school class we were told to bring our big book of knoledge the next week. So the next Sunday came and everone brought a bible. I brought the big gray dictionary from our home. I was ridiculed for it. Yet my parents never questioned why I was bringing it to church.

Smart man. I was the kid who always asked the questions the teacher couldn't answer. I remember one, sure the evangelicals have an answer, we were reading something about 12 doors in heaven, and it was suggested they were for the disciples. I asked does that mean there was a door for Judus? Or for whom, Mary? Lots of stuttering and noes but no idea for whom.
