Morality: I do the "right thing" most of the time because 1)people expect it of you, and respect and like you more, 2) I'd probsbly end up in jail if I didn't, 3)I feel better about myself. It has absolutely nothing to do what God may or may not think about it.
I think most people, including believers (despite what they say), are motivated by exactly the same reasons.
