Went with members of my teachers union to the state Congress this summer to support our governor in a vote for renewing a tax. As we were led in prayer and pledge notices that was not the only one seated looking bored. Turned out I found another atheist and we had much to discuss on the four hour bus ride home.

Haha! I should try it. I work in a place that says prayers before meetings. It’s hard not to laugh. I bow my head so no one sees that look in my eye. I would love to do it - a wink with a nod of the head!

I will try this next opportunity. It doesnt come up much anymore. Very similar is teaching my kids how to say the pledge without the "..under God" part and what to do/say if confronted.
