Y’all I’m really sad because I seem to have cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome. It means I have to quit smoking weed because it’s making me really sick. I didn’t even know this was a thing, did you? Could use some encouragement on quitting, have been a stoner for 20+ years...

Imagine if you needed to stop eating chocolate? Actually, chocolate does bother some people. Contains caffeine, theobromine and theophylline.

maybe chocolate can be a good substitute, tickles some of the same neurons as THC I hear.

I tried weed about 30 years ago, it made my (undiagnosed then) fibromyalgia dramatically worse......plus gave me upset stomach. Nothing is "one size fits all"!

I wondered for a while if that was my problem but I discovered it was my diabetes med. Good luck with quitting.

No, I hadn't heard of this. Did the doctor provide you any guidance or resources to help you quit?

No, but I had bigger problems (cancer) when it was diagnosed. I quit during cancer treatment, but I guess I had hoped it was the cancer making me nauseous. Started again after treatment and now it’s back.

@Lauxa I'm sorry this happened. A good friend of mine still smokes pot (I don't anymore) and she started losing her teeth. I think that was from the weed; the cottonmouth messing up her gums, etc. Good luck quitting.

I didn't know that was a thing.
