Further down timing gets a bit murky but it travels down to the first replicating molecules around 3,800 to 4,000 million years ago our first ancestor, probably formed around a volcanic vent in the early sea.So we are all cousins . The timing of splits was done using the molecular clock sampling the DNA Of present species.

Thank you! Into geology, thus ‘geologic time,’ the recent splits among the apes seems like only yesterday 🙂 I love the “so we are all cousins” analogy..

Was attempting to describe to a religious door-knocker how all life on earth is related … until realizing there’s a depth of learning you must first possess in order to understand such things.. Being as they shun education as soon as possible ..my effort felt wasted, and in a strange way, likely as ‘far fetched’ to him as the fairy tales he was pushing… It was almost comical how, after patiently listening to each other’s descriptions of the origins of life - we both had the same expression 😕

Next step is go to recent history: since 3 million years or so, and look at other closer relative hominids. Start to wonder why they all died out and most likely our adaptation to change proved better. Still with Neanderthal and Denesovan people who Sapian Sapian interbreed with were quite possibly killed off by our direct contact of warring; stealing the best lands; etc.

I think you could be right in your assertions.
