Face-Palm: Some theists really are THAT stupid.

Ran across a Christian today that seriously asserted. “I can’t wait to die because then I’ll have 21 virgins waiting for me in heaven.” Cherry picking goodies from another Abrahamic religion (Islam) and oblivious to understand his Jesus didn’t promise him 21 virgins when he dies.

I know there are many studies that demonstrate a positive correlation between intelligence and lack of belief in the supernatural (god etc.) This coincides with my personal observations.

My question is: With the exception of the few statistical outliers,
Have you also noted a correlation between superstitious (religious) and intelligence?

You may need to add another catagorey . Intelligent people sometimes put on a cover of being Christian/religious , etc. to ,"fit in." Sometimes it's a matter of safety , some-times it's social concerns , sometimes it's related to job security . For instance , many politicians make a show of attending church services , when their actions prove , they aren't even interested in being the religious person they claim to be . I see a lot of intelligent people on this site , so feel the average here , may be well above average , especially if you discount some obvious scammers .
