how can a universe, which is not a sentient being, have a plan? i like rush, and i don't mind songs that say things i don't necessarily agree with as long as they're not offensive things, but as philosophy? no. the universe works the way it works, but that is not the same as having a plan. as for whether or not we will ever understand, i am not predicting one way or the other.

As Peart said, the universe is too complicated. I don't know about a plan, but it's going to do what it wants, whatever that may be.
