Creationism isn't just wrong scientifically and historically, it's also wrong ethically and morally. Does simultaneously sadist and most laughable irony of this whole stupid conversation is that these zealots claim they're opposed to Evolution as an issue of morality. yet while we can cite dozens of examples where politically influential creationist clearly know they're lying about science, there is no such instance where in evolutionary scientist can be shown to be dishonest and their criticisms of creationism. There is no need to be. Despite all the attempted deception, the baseless assertions and political division produced by the creationism movement, the truth is there has never been a single verifiably accurate argument of evidence indicative of Miraculous Creation over biological Evolution or any other Avenue of actual science. Not one period. neither has there ever been any credible proponent of creation science, because with dr. Periannan senapathy as the one crackpot exception, everyone who has ever published anti-evolutionary rhetoric to any medium did so only according to a prior religious agenda rather than any amount of scientific comprehension. Dave all revealed inexcusable ignorance in the fields where they claim expertise, and their arguments or all dependent on erroneous assumptions, prejudicial bias, logical fallacies, ridiculous parody, Misdefined terms, Misquoted authorities, distorted data, fraudulent figures or out-and-out lies. Thus there are only two types of arguments for creationism, those that are untestable, implausible, and indistinguishable from the illusions of delusion, which can neither be indicated nor Vindicated, verified or disproved, and those that have already been disproved!

Wow..who cares what the religious people think? You seem obsessed with them. Must be a recent atheist convert...

Yes we all agree here......we are already in your corner. This is why we are here....it’s out in the real world you have to do your convincing.

Creationism is far from the only thing that's "indistinguishable from ... delusion" that fundamentalists are proponents of. But it's a doozy.

I don't find it very productive to go over this well-worn territory though, not in terms of changing minds anyway. You're preaching to the choir. But you do have it nailed. And I think these kinds of overviews are useful for deconverts who are busy prying theism out of their brains with a crowbar. Helps to overcome the knee-jerk operant conditioning that makes them suspicious of science, etc.

You seem angry.

I don't see any anger. I see derision and incredulity and calling a spade a spade, but that's neither angry, nor rude, nor any of the other things some people insist on conflating it with.

@mordant thanks for your accurate response. I suppose I do have a tendency to mock religion and I definitely am unwilling to believe in the nonsense. Anger absolutely not I'm a happy-go-lucky guy. I suppose I could get carried away every now and then. Recently someone informed me that Evolution was just Theory so he said Evolution was a religion, or you interested and what my response to him was.

@Ritchie Now you sound serene and that makes me relax. 🙂 Actually you have every right to be zealous. It’s none of my business.

Speaking of evolution, are you up on epigenetics? I don’t know much about it myself, but I understand that newer studies show that genes can be turned on and off, making possible changes that occur much too fast to be caused by natural selection. That in no way invalidates the theory of evolution or points toward creationism. It just means that there’s a lot more to evolution than what we were taught in school.

I personally am open to the idea that the course of evolution can be influenced through conscious awareness. In fact, it is demonstrably true. It happens all the time when breeders select for certain desired traits.

@WilliamFleming there is no Ascension up an evolutionary ladder, no evident Direction, and neither is it there necessarily any progression toward and implied goal. Things aren't always getting bigger or better either some get smaller. Others maintain a fashion that seems timeless. But even then there are many different versions. Each ads to an ever-expanding array of different designs with Myriad affectations and altercations oval face template established by their ancestry. If anything natural selection seems to be trying out every course at once and keeps retesting previous options with each new set of descendants. this pattern relates directly to Darwin's third law, the manipulation of species or as why is more widely known as now biodiversity. It is the understanding that species made diverged into two or more distinct groups. And their descendants made The Verge again and so on and so on branching into a network of common ancestors.
