In later burning the so called Christians would say they might have killed the person and destroyed their body but at least they saved their soul. I think Joan de Ark was one such person. It's all absolutely horrible!

Have never figured out why religious people feel the need to kill others to spread their religion. If the religion is so wonderful, and god is omnipotent and all loving, would it not follow that folks would eventually want to join with god in his/her love without being forced to worship god through threats of violence?

I've always said I fear no one's god or gods, but those claiming to act as their gods' proxies scare the shit out of me.
