I am beside myself anticipating two upcoming tv shows, and interested without being beside myself in one other.

one is the new season (or series, as they say in britain) of doctor who, in which for the first time the doctor is female. i hope she's funny!

another is the revival of murphy brown. this is only about a week away. it should be wicked fun.

the one in which i have a rather uninformed interest is new amsterdam. i used to watch st. elsewhere; i loved it. this won't be that, but what will it be? not a lot of network tv has caught my interest for the past few years, and i don't know any of these folks involved in making the show, but i will give this a try.
