Factory Farms and hurricane Florence.
On NPR, they were talkign about how both livestock and their waste got washed away in the floodes. Cows and their waste, but the pig farms had over 18,000,000 galoons of untreated fecal waste wash downstream into flooded communities, which will lead to lots of infractions (such as staff) and various forms of sickness (such as cholera). The flood water with the waste is in the towns, streets and homes, speadign bacteria virtually everywhere and makign the cleanup and repairs a lot mroe complicated.

I'm hoping this will help bring to light the multiple horrors of factory farming. Many people may find themselves very sick from all this exposure to so many toxins. Another side result of the meat "industry".

It is probably that the next pandemic will originate from one of the factory farm "waste" pits.

These are the same type of hog farms that were sued for their stench. A lot of money was awarded to neighbors. This type of farming is not good for the environment or for the animals. [newsobserver.com]
