Any recommendations for good crime drama/detective series on TV?
I do love Columbo. Must be the only detective series where you know who, why and how from the start. Only thing you're waiting for is how he's going to catch the killer out. And when he goes "just one more thing.." ? Trouble is I think I've seen them all now.
I saw one on Netflix I LOVED. I am partial to British dramas it is called River.
@ValJ she is Amazing!
Motive, a Canadian series. Itβs no longer being produced but I still get reruns. Absolutely excellent series. You know the killer and victim from the beginning. The rest of the show is about how the detectives figure it out and piece together the motive.
Cardinal, limited series, Seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 coming soon. Brilliant. Can be pretty gory at times but I love that.
@ValJ I hope you find it somewhere. It's a really well written smart sexy show with lots of twists and turns. You get the killer and victim introduced in the beginning and you wonder how the heck do these two seemingly unconnected people end up being killer and victim. I was so sad they cancelled the show because it's probably my favourite detective show ever!!!
The Rockford Files. Garner is a damn good actor.
@ValJ For a while I had my voice message the same as in the intro. lol
@ValJ The old series or the new one? Never watched either. lol
Speaking of crime/drama maybe watch Dexter? That has the best intro ever!
@ValJ It's about a guy that does forensics for Miami Metro. But he is a serial killer, that... well... kills serial killers. Damn good show.
@ValJ I reccomend. However it's one of those shows you need to watch in order. I'm not a spoiler, but you'll never guess the ending. My sister and I were both wrong!
@ValJ I HATE spoilers! Not much worse is when you go over to a friends house. They ask "did you see this movie". Me: "no let's watch it". Oh this is the part where... then 30 seconds later... my damn eyes aren't broken. Why didn't you just give me the 30 second version and tell me how the movie ends?
Dexter has a lot of twists and turns. It'll keep you on the edge of your seat!
Another good show that has to do with crime is Breaking Bad. It's about a chemist that works for a HS. He got cancer, and couldn't afford his medical bills. He started making meth. Based on an actual person.
PS if anyone says Breaking Bad is better than Dexter, I'm blocking you. lol
@ValJ Is that on Channel 4? If so I might be able to stream it.
