Why do we talk about overpopulation in this country, when there is plenty of space...just the majority of people don’t want to live there.
I saw a youtube video where a creationist (Eric Hovind maybe) laughed off the idea of overpopulation because all the people in the world could in Texas or some stupid reason. The guy responding said basically it's not just about physical space, it's about everything else needed to sustain x number of humans - land to farm, animals we eat, clean water, other natural resources, economy, etc... So yeah, it's a more complex issue than just "there's enough space".
Idk if "want" is the correct term. I would love to live in a small town again but there are no jobs there and the schools are questionable if not closed down. I think its more economic forces pushing people to urban hubs.
