I'm a very straight forward person. I'm also very much geared to please and accommodate. But,, one of the things that I could never understand about my ex was her getting pissed because ...
She asks me if I want to do X? X is something no one wants to do, but it's also something that's not tremendously odious. I reply,"Are you asking if I would be able to do X?
She: No. I'm asking if you want to do it.
At this point, you all understand where I'm coming from and how the rest goes. I miss her, but damn, I am so happy to be without the mind games.
Oh been there, left that. The passive aggressive, "lets have a conversation so I can start an arguement", & the question of the day that could go both ways & you're waiting for the other shoe to drop. Walking into my house way like negotiating a verbal mine field.
@Mike1947 well, isn't that just the soul of wit. ???but I was married to a man. He wanted to draw stuff out till it was threadbare. Perhaps it was all the sand in his mangina.
@SallyInStitches Some people are beyond pleasing, wanting constant drama in their lives,my late wife and I seldom argued, only twice when my explanation had to be done in simpler terms did she understand, once about wiring a garbage disposal, the was last frequency of lawn mover blade sharpening.
So for 26 out of 27 years, it was a tranquil household, the last year was her losing cancer fight.....
Yeah..weird.
I tried twice to date female types but they were so squirrely, I decided it was better to stay with dating males, who are (usually) as straight-shooting as I am. Apparently, cis hetero males are wired to put up with all that female foolishness, but I'm too female to tolerate it for long.
