I think Kavanaugh should be rejected just for the fact that he's a Catholic. I figure, if the leaders of the belief system are a bunch of sex deviates, what does that make the followers?

Upon further thought...change the word "catholic" in your post to ANY other religion/creed/belief....kinda "racist", no?

Anne, I was referring to Catholics specifically, the idea being that the ideology is corrupt and even perverse. I don't know the numbers precisely but many many priests have been found guilty of sexual deviancy, even against children. Therefore, their followers should be suspect. Pardon the pun, but like Father like son.

@Aristopus I love your pun! LOL!

@AnneWimsey Puns and etymology are a hobby of mine. Here's a beauty I just came up with but nobody in my Humanist group caught it. Trump said it was his "crowing achievement." I changed it to, "it was my clowning achievement"

@Aristopus not only funny, but Far more accurate!!

so kennedy should not have been president?

or basically no one who was ever president should have been, since while only kennedy was catholic, they were/are all christian (except trump, whose belief system is basically "screw everyone," which is not incompatible with religion but in his case is unconnected with one)? seriously?

i don't care what people believe. i care what they DO.

I'm a fan of Richard Dawkins' memetics. From that point of view, the purpose of life is to propagate the memeplex. There have been hundreds of religions since ancient times. The only ones still around are the ones that "convert" new members. Ever meet a Christian that didn't try to lead you to the one true faith?

With all the bad press lately this sure doesn't help their credibility. I hope it makes them think.

No laws based on race or religion, no discrimination on them either...ring any bells for you? Without equal protection, You/we might find ourselves in "re-education camps"
