Had a brush with fame yesterday as sometimes happens in a guitar shop.

Yesterday a little old man comes in, I’m showing him a few Martin HD-28’s .. we get to talking, he can hardly play. He was the guitarist from Big Brother & The Holding Company and I’m having trouble telling from the pictures which guy he is.. bad on me I forgot the name... he got the guitar, around $3000. After Janis Joplin died he quit playing music and hadn’t touched a guitar since... I hope he gets his chops back... He knew Jim Morrison but didn’t like him because Jim threw a chair and cut his girlfriends face open with it.. he had enough stories for a book... He said his only regret was that he never got to play with Jimmy Hendrix. He went on to be a carpenter.

Was it the young kid that Joplin took with him on another band? A skinny kid when he was with the holding company.

@Byrdsfan ok thanks. I watched a documentary I wasn't aware that he had died.

Looking at the pictures it’s really tricky because nowadays he looks more like Mr. Magoo... But super nice guy.
