Once again, it is past midnight & I can't get to sleep. Should have been a night watchman. Finished the book I was reading. Even did a 50% water change & some plant scaping in one of my fish tanks in the hopes of getting tired enough to go to sleep. This insomnia is becoming a bad habit. I'd try a glass of hot milk, but I'm trying to cut out dairy ha ha.

Skip caffeine, a lot of processed food, and naps during the day, turn off your devices an hour before bedtime, take an evening walk.

Other than that, a pinch of food grade powdered catnip, found online or in health food stores, will knock you out so quickly, it's best to get ready for bed before taking it.

@kozmic The eastern Kentuckians where I lived for 22 years picked fresh catnip from their yards and made tea, gave it to colicky and teething babies to sooth them to sleep.
