I have nothing against vegans, per se. eat what you want. avoid what you want. every vegan i have ever known personally got sick and had to stop being vegan, but if you're a healthy vegan, great, do your thing. on the other hand, i don't know why vegans have to proselytize. i am not going to stop eating meat because you think i am being cruel to animals; i don't eat veal. i don't eat chicken-prison chickens. my species is omnivorous and that's that. nor am i going to stop eating meat because you think meat is bad for me. meat is good for me. i am diabetic and rice and beans would be a pretty poor way for me to get my protein, not to mention i'd die of boredom. i don't overeat meat. it isn't the focus of most of the meals i make, though i do like an occasional juicy lucy or chopped liver entrée. i don't see why that bit is anyone's business; it's between me and my doctor, actually. so proselytizing veganism to me is going to met pretty much the same response proselytizing christianity does. do your thing, but leave my thing alone.

Live and Let Live, right

yep just like religion! you can think, gosh, that's silly, or worse than silly, but if they're not hurting anyone else, it's their business! and it doesn't make them stupid, either (assuming i'm even right about veganism, or religion for that matter). people are not 100 percent stupid or 100 percent smart. people compartmentalize a LOT.
