I didn't get it either. News reported that some Verizon and T-mobile customers didn't receive it.

So, hang on, what kind of phone do you all have? Mine's a Motorola with Verizon. I wonder which was the deciding factor.

I don't think I got the alert, either. No idea why but I'm not gonna look that particular gift horse in the mouth.
