Are christmas decorations out in your local shops or is it only an Australian curse? I have nothing against celebrating christmas (altho my decorations consist of a single snow cone), but it is barely October and we have to be bombarded with bloody tinsel and reindeer already! I've had 54 christmases so I feel like it is ALWAYS christmas. In fact I couldn't be happier if I never heard another fuckin christmas carol in my life! What are your thoughts?

It really fucks me off seeing all that shit out in the shops already

That stuff that is indeed all out will be nasty & dusty by Thanksgiving (end of November). Hate it!

Here in 'Merica they are appearing some. We do, however, have Halloween to get through first, and it is a hugely profitable holiday now, so it is everywhere. After it is over, Christmas is full blown; we basically ignore Thanksgiving, except for the day after, "Black Friday" when stores have massive Christmas sales.

For any who saw my unedited post, I think Christian sales was a Freudian slip?

i don't get out much but i did actually get taken into a couple of retail outlets three days ago, and there was hallowe'en everywhere, no christmas in sight.

we have both. Competing for space in the shop.

@MsDemeanour i can only speak for the few shops i saw locally.
