CSICON 2018, the annual Skeptical Inquirer conference, is coming up Oct 18-21 in Las Vegas! Looks like a solid lineup of speakers and workshops. This will be my first time, and am looking forward to it. Anyone else from our community going? www.csiconference.org

Thank you! -- BTW, if you are indeed in Skagway, or from Skagway, I may be headed that way next September. Let me explain: Alaska is one of five states I have yet to visit, and I'm scheming on taking a cruise next year. Skagway is on some of the itineraries offered. Do you recommend it as a cool place to visit, even a short visit? Also, what do you think about that time of year? (I chose it because it's off-season, plus I was told I might see the Aurora Borealis.) If you have time for my silliness, I'd appreciate your input! Thanks!

I am not going to Las Vegas for anything.

I must admit the allure of the sheer weirdness of the place; the American Babylon spectacle of it all! Still, it hasn't been the same since they whacked Bugsy ...
