Talked to a friend last night who is firmly entrenched in the “team sports” aspect of politics. It’s frustrating when people are blinded to the fact someone is doing something shady because they’re “on my team”. This is true for dems and reps. And right now a lot of men refuse to believe that dudes can do terrible things to women without a second thought and come up with 47 reasons why it was something “she” did. I can understand that this is a major time in history and major change only happens against severe backlash, but it is super frustrating to live through and see happening. That being said, the fact that people are aware of any of this is a massive step in the right direction.

Well said. The people in power are the ones who control the public narrative, so it's good that so many women, and people from the LGBTQ commnunity are running for office this year.

Vote out the GOP!!

I think that the tribal aspect is not useful. I think we need to examine what is good for everyone.
